Holiday Gold

Our tastes naturally run to silver, white gold, and platinum; but this holiday season, we're drawn to the warm glow of gold. Not bling, mind you; but the kind of sleek, suave, circa-1962 gold that whispers of $50 tips for the powder room attendant; tail-finned Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Specials; sable evening wraps; and table-hopping at 21, The Colony, La Grenouille, and Voisin. This is our Christmas wish list, along with a new laptop, world peace, and Jon Hamm. Feel free to gift us with any or all; we'd particularly appreciate the watch and Mr. Hamm.

    Of course, one can't 'buy' Mr. Mann, but one might 'hire' him by the day... or possibly fifteen minute increment. Would his agent take a cut or would one 'hire' him directly?
