  1. To Davis, a bitch was anyone too important to instantly pull rank on Lord over. She was wretched to Lillian Gish on the Winds of Aug set...because Miss Gish far out ranked Davis, as no one living at the time could , in the Hollywood terms they both understood . Davis, grew up paying a nickel to watch Gish movies. In 1987 of who else could that be said
