While not old I enough to have seen the original airing in the '50s, I remember seeing reruns in the '60s as a wee lad. Also noted is that Farrell lived a long life and was an early settler in Palm Springs, where he found business success. Nice to see that not every silent movie actor lived an alcoholic, tragic life after the end of their careers.Topazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15514508159702613771noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2917776121387891817.post-65341572502059324512010-11-19T04:33:05.434-05:002010-11-19T04:33:05.434-05:00Excellent, delightful review. The Dutch Filmmuseum restored their print and showed it some years ago. Farrell was extremely handsome, but Gaynor really needs to be seen on film, not stills, to be appreciated. She wasn't a glamourpuss, but she's utterly adorable on screen. You can see why she was a huge star.

Little Messy Missy - I love Myrna Loy, too, but those are all photos of Janet Gaynor. :)TJBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09180041865489453236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2917776121387891817.post-89883659678969741762010-11-18T14:35:17.481-05:002010-11-18T14:35:17.481-05:00Second to the bottom pic...I love Myrna Loy!!!!Second to the bottom pic...I love Myrna Loy!!!!Little Messy Missyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01338287840115139901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2917776121387891817.post-48295636870236267292010-11-18T11:53:17.895-05:002010-11-18T11:53:17.895-05:00Wonderful. So glad to hear about the restoration, and your marvelous review. It makes me realize that for some reason, Fox product of the 30s and 40s is something I've seen very little of. Time to correct that.Philip Mershonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05641146738422887485noreply@blogger.com
