Dray: That's the nicest thing anyone's said to me all year! As The Merm said, let's be friends, let's be buddies. And I'm flattered that you'd think I even approached your wealth of knowledge and charm. ;-)
Muscato: I discovered Eros visually, on MTV Euro, so I immediately understood his appeal! Not unlike his French counterpoint, Etienne Daho, he's gotten better-looking with age.
one September Saturday morning in a dim bedroom on a gray humid overcast day pushing noon 18 miles East of Manhattan, I found myself searching for images of Kerwin Mathews for the sole reason I had watched Gulliver's travels the night before.
I found a link for a blog. In that blog I found a name that intrigued me, Eros Ramazzotti.
I will find his music to place on my iPod and find out when he will be in New York so I can try to meet him and hopefully some sort of physical contact will occur.
Where ever did you find Eros?
ReplyDeleteBy the way TJB, Thank you for visiting. Sorry that it's taken me this long to return the favor. Now that I have...I'm captivated.
I thought with such knowledge and charm that you must be around my own age. Unfortunately for me you are only in your 30's. (sigh)
My, but you truly are a rare gem. I do hope we can become friends.
Eros! True story:
ReplyDeleteYears ago, for various reasons, I lived in West Africa. We used to hang out at an Italian café that had fairly good food, better wine than we could find elsewhere - and only one drawback: the joint's music collection consisted, in its entirety, of a an Eros Ramazzotti CD that was a basically an EP of remixes of some soccer theme he had sung a couple of years previously. The effect, after a couple of bottles...I mean glasses...was both maddening and hypnotic.
We even brought the manageress new CDs, but all she wanted was Eros, Eros, Eros. And now I know why!

Mitch -- Take a number, dear. If Eros finds himself in NYC, I've got first dibs. ;-) Welcome!
