Tiffany & Co.

Quelle surprise, darlings: as young gaylings, we were not (gasp!) the uber-sophisticates that we are today. No, we watched The New Mickey Mouse Club; we French-cuffed our acid-washed jeans; we had Big Hair. In short, we were Major Tiffany Fans.

For those of you too young to remember such cataclysmic events, there was, in the 1980's, The Great Teen Queen War. Tiffany and Debbie (not yet Deborah) Gibson fought a Death Match which quelled less hardy opponents like Martika and poor Alyssa Milano (except in Japan, of course).




Although time has been marginally kinder to The Artist Formerly Known as Debbie (and, we suppose, Alyssa Milano, too), we were, and still are, firmly pro-Tiffany. She had bigger hair, a bigger voice, and seemed like the sluttiest of the bunch. We liked that.
