Nice. I met Mitzi at one of the Gypsy Awards luncheons. I asked, "how about a demo dance." Mitzi, "sure, pay me enough money!" In reality she was busy greeting new people and meeting old friends. She was gracious for me to get a photo with her.
Where would we be without her? I shudder to at the thought!
As a child, Miss Gaynor lived in my hometown of Elgin, Illinois. We are also both Virgos. So of course I relate to her, for these and countless other reasons.
I was so hoping she would dance a Fosse-like strut to this the way Ann Reinking did in All That Jazz...nevertheless, a song that we don't hear often enough from one of the greats....
