  1. Yes, I love those photos, Rock and Marilyn look great together, and Rock with Swanson and Tallulah is downright spooky - it was at the premiere of PILLOW TALK ! Theres also an aged and ill Rock with old Lillian Gish, which is not a pleasant sight now ....
Rock and England's Dirk Bogarde, were the men who knew everybody. There's a nice 1957 shot of them together, when both were filming in Italy, no doubt comparing the sizes of their respective closets.
Lauren Bacall of course was the woman who knew everybody, whereas Angela Lansbury just worked with everybody.

  2. Gee, he was dreamy. Those dames had good taste (and that includes George Nader).

  4. Gina Lolobrigida's thought bubble should read, "I don't-a get eet..."

  5. But only with Nader can you sense the lust.

    1. Mmm yes lust. I think Nader got closer to a piece of the Rock than any of the other gals.

    2. While it wouldn't surprise me if George scaled the Rock, it also really wouldn't surprise me if he didn't. Rock tended to lean more towards the blond types for his lovers, and I *think* George was already involved with his longtime partner by the 50's (although that wouldn't necessarily exclude any hanky panky!).

  6. I had the same exact thought...

  7. The picture with Gina must have been before they made their two pictures together. From what I've heard they fought quite a bit during the first and only did the second under duress because the first one was so successful.

    1. I vaguely remember hearing about some tensions between Rock and Gina, but they must have mended fences -- this must be a 1964/65 publicity junket for "Strange Bedfellows" if they're visiting Carol Channing backstage at "Hello Dolly."
