He did that..I'm remembering how he was a dear friend with two of Richard Burton's ex-wives ( the 1st Brit one and Liz) and would juggle when to see one or the other so they wouldn't meet and so avoid an awkward situation . But when McDowall was dying, the women put aside all that baggage so they both could be with him at that time . That says a great about the man and what kind of friend he was .
