Don't underestimate Ms. Baker. She's a wonderful actress (see "Giant", "Baby Doll" & "Something Wild") I saw her many years ago at a talk for "Baby Doll" with Eli Wallach. She was charming, funny and very intelligent. And Jack Nicholson said he loved working with her in "Ironweed". She also managed to survive despite Joseph E. Levine's attempt to turn her into another "Monroe".
I find it hard to believe Miss Baker was much of a reader. Jx
ReplyDeletePerhaps that's why she's holding the book more like one would hold a beauty pageant bouquet!
ReplyDeleteThat Schulman book was horrid!!
