I have a coffee table book of John Enstead celebrity photos. He did some great things with people. I seem to recall especially nice shots of Barbara Stanwyck and Cyd Charisse. Soft focus!
He did beautiful, classic Hollywood portraits in the 40s and 50s -- including the famous tee shirt shots of Brando for "Streetcar." In the 1960's, his trademark became highly stylized portraits like the ones used in the albums here -- and uber-glamorous, uber-soft-focused stills for the likes of Cyd, Barbara, Lana, Marlene, Joan, et al -- John Engstead truly was an aging diva's best friend!
