High on our "must-see" list, this romantic drama starring Faye Dunaway and Marcello Mastroianni has been described as "glossy and empty," which is pretty much exactly the way we like our movies.
Back when TNT was an actual cable channel and not a garbage dump, they ran this and I watched it. It wasn't good, but Faye is always worth seeing. I'd love to check it out again as it's been ages. The stills are more arresting than the actual movie. She and Marcello were lovers in real life, but it didn't translate well to the screen if I recall correctly.
Circa '68 Faye is always worth watching. And I love the swoony theme song by Ella! Doesn't Faye have one of those Mysterious Movie Illnesses in this one?
