Who Needs a Zhu Zhu...

...when you can wipe your feet on Eve Arden?

Actually, there are few people we'd be less likely to even attempt walking over than the formidable, fabulous Ms. Arden; but we love her, love this ad, and love our friend Drew for sharing it with us - so that we can share it with you. And that, darlings, is the true meaning of the holiday season: urbane homosexuals trading clippings of brassy character dames from the 1940's and 1950's - the gift that keeps on giving. Mary Christmas!

  6. Why do we love the 1940s and the 1950s? What about our love of the 1960s - that is clearly evident. And the 1970s? And the 1980s? Well when that time comes in vogue, along with the 1990s, etc. Then we'll love those times too, eventually, silly!

  7. If it has Eve Ardens name on Im gonna wipe my feet there,, As for JOTAELE .. I love the 30s on to the late 70's ,, Why because women were glamorous and the men were classy,, Things were built to last forever and not cheap.. Movie stars were made of legends . They made the motiom picuters thier own signature classics .. Singers like Judy could knock your ass out at the last row in the balcony with her voice .. You cant find much of anything like that today .. I could just go on and on but the alcohol is wearing off..
