The April Fools (1969) is as typical a glossy 1960's production as you can get:
Catherine Deneuve at her most ethereal; old workhorses Charles Boyer and Myrna Loy adding a bit of nostalgia; chic, of-the-moment fashions by Don Feld (he who also wardrobed Ann-Margret in
Viva Las Vegas); and a dreamy theme song by
Burt Bacharach. What's not to love?
I need to see this. WHO played Jack Lemmon's wife?! Whoever it was got no billing in the ads... Catherine was, and is, stunning.
ReplyDeleteLovely song actually.
