"When you have lived the life I've lived, when you've loved and suffered, and been madly happy and desperately sad -- well, that's when you realize you'll never be able to set it all down. Maybe you'd rather die first."

  1. By that time of her life, she seemed to look 20 years older than her actual age. Amazing she was only in her late 40s when she died. I wonder how she would have looked with hair and makeup that wasn't so harsh, and with a little more weight.

  2. Yes, it's sad that she was so young when she died, yet looked like she'd lived four lifetimes. What a sad, sad life that poor woman had.

  3. One of my favorite quotes by her:

"Behind every cloud, there's another cloud"

So much talent. So much. That frail body and all that energy. Her voice was like a magic trick she did, over and over.
