Although it’s a little Joan Collins’y, I’m seeing Mitzi Gaynor maybe even Elaine Stritch or Shirley MacLaine....yep Mitzi, Elaine or Shirley, for sure.
Barbara Bush? Thank you for your stylish & engaging blog. I remain a huge fan. You have given me much pleasure with your good reads in 2010. I wish you peace & prosperity in 2011.
with those shoulders, I would have to go back to the Dynasty gals, Joan Collins or Linda Evens. I would go with Linda, since Joan always wore the whore colors...
how about Mae West with the addition of a huge white fur stole (or white feather boa- - -) and a very chic hat with a very wide brim or maybe a black cloche with major white feathers??
I'm gonna go out on a limb as well, I could swear I saw Oprah wearing something like this but I think it had some green in it ... HAPPY NEW YEAR T.J. LOVE LOVE LOVE your site. I look forward to it every day!

What an ugly dress. It looks like something Melanie Griffith would wear to play a cheap hooker.

ReplyDeleteJoan Collins or Diahann Carroll. I'm having a definite Dynasty flashback here, darlings...I detect a hint of shoulder padding in this dress.
ReplyDeleteDiana Ross?

ReplyDelete(Oh, and Norma... my verification word was biness. No hyphen, sadly! lol)
Could it be an Adrian done for Madame Crawford?

I'm going with the belief that the shoulder pads are 1940s shoulder pads... Joan Crawford!
ReplyDeleteRita Hayworth
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing Claudette Colbert but mostly because I love saying her name.
ReplyDeleteMargaret Thatcher
