Eartha worked right up to the end, appearing in cabaret in London just before she died on that Christmas Day a few years ago!
ReplyDeleteI loved her exotic albums when I first began buying records back in the 60s, her voice had extraordinary range and power, and it was great seeing her in Follies - and we loved those disco numbers like "Where Is My Man"!
Everytime I grab the golden ring it turns to brassssss.
ReplyDeleteHer voice is still heard on a regular basis in Mistress MJ's household.
ReplyDeleteShe ALWAYS gave me the creeps. That voice! like nails on a chalkboard. I couldn't figure her out ... male, female, alien.
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Deb
