The Dating Game

Lovely, leggy Julie Adams graciously demonstrates What We're Looking For...

...and What We Actually Find.

  1. Ha! I love how you seem to have discovered the joys of The Creature From the Black Lagoon. I got the 3-movie set a few years back and the first one has the most hysterical music cue every time the creature appears and the sequels have those hunky male costars (John Bromfield, who you recently paid tribute to and Rhodes Reason who has his own set of charms!) Julie Adams was always underrated, too, especially at her career mid-point, as in terrorizing Barbara Stanwyck on The Big Valley in a memorable episode.

  2. Reminds me of Betty Hutton's song "That's the kind of guy that I dream of, you should see the kind that I get!"

  3. Poseidon3 -- I always thought the first one was much better than its kitschy reputation (and more serious than silly stills like this would indicate). The image of the Creature's eyes peering out from his cage on the boat is pretty surreal and haunting.

ilduce -- I never thought I'd identify with the hyperkinetic Ms. Hutton, but...

  4. I know, it's kind of become my theme song as well.
