LOVED Celeste Holm in everything she was in, including All About Eve, High Society, Gentleman's Agreement, and Letter To Three Wives. Always conveyed a warm, maternal spirit but not too prime and proper--she was a great comedienne.
yes, i too have always loved celeste. she elevated everything she appeared in. i feel she was an amazing actress because whenever i saw celeste being celeste, i.e. being interviewed, she came across as a haughty bitch. not that there's anything wrong with that.

ReplyDeleteCeleste had a television sow in the 1950s called "Honestly Celeste", which is one of my favorite expressions.
