He's co-starred with some of the most beautiful faces in cinema history (Deneuve, Loren, O'Toole); held his own with La Nose in Funny Girl (1968); and in just about the classiest assault case we've ever heard about, was arrested for head-butting a police officer at a French casino. He's Omar Sharif, Egypt's favorite son, and we celebrate his birthday today.
