Muskingum College - where I spent a year and a year that felt like four years - has Agnes' personal papers and awards. One of my work study jobs back then was curating her collection. The last time I saw it, her Emmy for Bewitched needed replating...
The beautiful and talented Agnes Moorehead...another of my favorites. She was fabulous (and probably best remembered) as Endora, but she really did it all - television, stage, radio, and film.
There's a Twilight Zone, without dialogue; she plays a peasant woman terrorized by tiny aliens. It's so brilliant. From what I've read, she wasn't crazy about Bewitched, it was very hard work, and she had a tolerant relationship with Montgomery.
AtStirred, Straight Up, with a Twist, it helps to remember that it is permanently 1962 (give or take a decade); and that the problems of the real world can be solved with a touch of glamour and a dash of style.
Thanks for visiting, have fun, and please feel free to add your wit and sparkle to the proceedings!
Oh - Agnes Moorehead!! I love her!! Thank you for sharing these awesome pictures!!
