Even though Jane appeared on many evangelical tv shows praising the Lord, she at least never allowed her name be used against gays like Anita Bryant used hers. P.S. I don't hold it against Doris Day being a Republican too, because of the joy that these two great stars have given me over the years. It is a shame that Doris turned down an honorary Academy Award.
I remember her in The Outlaw, opposite Jack Buetel. Of course Jack was the real star of the film as well as Howard Hughes' favorite boyfriend at that time.
Incidentally, I'm here for love.
ReplyDeleteShe was a big 'ol strappin gorgeous gal. She looked like she could kick your ass then give you a musical number to remember it by. Loved her.
ReplyDeleteI was so sad to hear about her passing. What a GLAMAZON. And by the way ... Ptolemy1 ... LOVED your comment! I'm still peeing!
