For Irene Dunn - it wasn't monkey fur - was GORILLA and it caused a huge stink a number of years ago (1970s) when it came up for auction. And if memory surves me right, it was withdrawn from public sale because of the hullabuloo it caused.
If you ever do get to watch Theodora Goes Wild (the movie with that outfit) grab the chance. It is one of the most difficult Dunne movies to find a good copy of.
AtStirred, Straight Up, with a Twist, it helps to remember that it is permanently 1962 (give or take a decade); and that the problems of the real world can be solved with a touch of glamour and a dash of style.
Thanks for visiting, have fun, and please feel free to add your wit and sparkle to the proceedings!
