Such sad news. Just the other night I watched his 1950 film "Edge of Doom" co-starring Dana Andrews and Mala Powers. Farley was excellent in it as the boy who kills a priest in a fit of anger. Thanks for the tribute.
Even sadder that this has gone largely unnoticed. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because it's on the high heels of Miss Taylor and the media has had it's fill of old stars dying for a while. Maybe....well, I don't know.
Holy smokes, I just got home from work and this is the first I've heard of it! I haven't seen too much w/ him but if memory serves, wasn't he in Rope? Excellent movie. Sad to read this, what a cutie...
Farley Granger was wonderful in the Italian film,"Senso." Director Luchino Visconti auditioned Tab hunter for the starring role that Farley Granger played in that film. In Tab's autobiography it said that Visconti sent his agent a letter telling him that he won the role and his agent never gave him the news, that agent also reprsented Rock Hudson.

ReplyDeleteThey say famous people die in three's. Is he number 2? Or did someone else die recently that I missed before Elizabeth.
