What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?

Although in our fantasies our plans look a bit like this...

...the reality will most likely be a pint of Haagen-Daas and our sweatpants. And, quite honestly, we're actually sort of looking forward to peace and quiet. What are your plans, possums?

  2. I always watch a movie. The same movie. You get one guess! LOL (Sometimes, if I venture out on NYE, I watch it on New Years Day.)

  3. I don't believe you! I want picture proof of you in sweatpants eating ice cream. If you really do...you must try the 5 ingredient Ginger...it's out of this world!

    I'm having a bash.

  4. Just wrap yourself up in the showercurtain, put a towel on your head and kiss the coatrack.

Not that I'd do anything like that... or anything. Nosiree.
    Nope...not me.

  5. White wine, Hagen Dazs Rum Raisin and Frito Lays Ranch Flavor Chips in bed...a la Alex Forrest.

  6. Watch whatever TCM is showing, fall off to sleep by about 11:15 then, because the families in my neighborhood insist on setting off firecrackers at midnight (at least I hope they're firecrackers), open one eye, wish the cat a happy new year and fall back asleep.

    Same as every year.

  7. Us, what else do old married (to each other) men do? Veal for dinner, a special desert, a game or two of Scrabble, perhaps before the ball drops we'll switch on HGTV and get disgusted with David Bromstad (do you think he could just spend more time acting like a big old girl? do you?), watch the ball drop, toast the new year, take the dogs out for their final walk of the evening and to bed.

If you need a movie for the evening, may I recommend Theodora Goes Wild? Spending New Years Eve with Irene Dunne (who wears the most fabulous coat and hat made of gorilla fur) is just the ticket to ring in the New Year!
