That image of Eleanor Parker is stunning. I loved her as the Baroness in the Sound of Music! Everytime the movie is on I cheer for her! I wonder what the world would have been like had she the opportunity to put Maria in her place, and those wrteched children in boarding school! What a world...what a world...
What finally moved my Mother to a longer smoother look and away from the rollers, tease and spray coiff in 1972, was when a friend of mine, having just met her, was trying to point her out in a crowd to another friend, "There. The one in the beige sweater with the popcorn hairdo!"
AtStirred, Straight Up, with a Twist, it helps to remember that it is permanently 1962 (give or take a decade); and that the problems of the real world can be solved with a touch of glamour and a dash of style.
Thanks for visiting, have fun, and please feel free to add your wit and sparkle to the proceedings!
