She does love her fruits, I'm glad to see.
Is that a puppet of Al Lewis in the background? OH MY GOD, BECKY! It IS!
The room that Jayne inhabites in my heart growss bigger every day. I just ordered the biography Sexbomb: The Life and Death of Jayne Mansfield. Can't wait to get to know her better. xo Rebecca
hmm.... the grocer was selling pineapples for 15 cents a pound....how much were jaynies pineapples raking in...per pound, that is?
It's a puppet of Liberace! Those are Krofft puppets, believe it or not. I really keep meaning to find out more about them ... I have to. I have some of the other Jayne supermarket photos from that session, they are fab!God Bless Jayne.
Those are "Les Poupees de Paris." I want them!
Liberace? Pooh! I was hoping Jayne had an Al Lewis puppet! That would have too sweet.I wonder where the puppets are.Now I must watch Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter!
Jason - And the fruits love her!Rebecca - Sexbomb should only be lightly considered a "biography" -- it's basically a photo book, with quotes attributed to Jayne in A-Z fashion. Be forewarned, however, that at least 60% of the "quotes" are taken from Raymond Strait's highly entertaining (and highly suspect) pulp bio of Jaynie, and must be taken with a shaker of salt. (Or two milk bottles.)norma - Knowing Jayne, she probably waltzed out of that supermarket with at least $3000 (in 1959 dollars) worth of free groceries in return for her appearance. Donna & MC - They cried all the way to the bank!atcc - Watch "The Wild, Wild World of Jayne Mansfield" instead. It's far trippier.
