Also born today: Joan Bennett (February 27, 1910 - December 7, 1990), whom we always (unfairly) regarded a bit as Constance's less-interesting younger sibling. Incidentally, Joan played Elizabeth Taylor's mother in Father of the Bride (1950) and Father's Little Dividend (1951), and, when called upon, could do a pretty fair imitation of her big sister Connie:

ReplyDeleteJoan and Constance Bennett are (were)my great-aunts! Joan never quite got to A-list but I love her for her adaptability, including having a role in "Dark Shadows" back in late 60's.
