I'll never forget the first time I saw him - in a David Merrick production of Joe Orton's LOOT on Broadway. It was a tiny part (the son), but just standing there in his one brief scene - describing tunneling naked into a bank vault with his friend, you felt this was a star waiting to happen. He received a 1986 Theatre World Award for it. Time flies.
