  5. It's a puppet of Liberace! Those are Krofft puppets, believe it or not. I really keep meaning to find out more about them ... I have to. I have some of the other Jayne supermarket photos from that session, they are fab!
    God Bless Jayne.

  7. Liberace? Pooh! I was hoping Jayne had an Al Lewis puppet! That would have too sweet.

I wonder where the puppets are.

Now I must watch Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter!

  8. Jason - And the fruits love her!

Rebecca - Sexbomb should only be lightly considered a "biography" -- it's basically a photo book, with quotes attributed to Jayne in A-Z fashion. Be forewarned, however, that at least 60% of the "quotes" are taken from Raymond Strait's highly entertaining (and highly suspect) pulp bio of Jaynie, and must be taken with a shaker of salt. (Or two milk bottles.)

norma - Knowing Jayne, she probably waltzed out of that supermarket with at least $3000 (in 1959 dollars) worth of free groceries in return for her appearance.

Donna & MC - They cried all the way to the bank!

atcc - Watch "The Wild, Wild World of Jayne Mansfield" instead. It's far trippier.
