Fascinating. This must have been a test shoot, I see nothing in Ms.Parker's resume to suggest such a role. My guess is Land Of The Pharaohs that went to Joan Collins. Or maybe The Egyptian. Valley of the Kings has the right ring, and I've never seen it, but it doesn't look like she has a "way back" role.
It's a mystery to me, too, caesar13. These photos are always credited to Valley of the Kings, but Eleanor plays an early 20th century Englishwoman in that. Perhaps they were planning on an elaborate "flashback" scene?
Was she ever in consideration for Serpent of the Nile, which ultimately starred Rhonda Fleming?? I could swear that the middle picture, decidedly different from the other two, is one of EP's looks in Interrupted Melody, in which she played a variety of opera roles in heavily made up and costumed looks.
Honey, if you're not a princess, I don't know who is!

ReplyDeleteBy the way, Ms. Parker is still with us!
