Quite true where it regarded Queen Mary. To whom anyone that did not have the HRH, or, Royal Status, she referred to them with the prefix, "Poor".................
As in "Poor" Cousin Charlotte, or "Poor" Cousin Fritz...... if these cousins did not have the inestimable HRH.
All this is exceedingly ironic as Queen Mary, herself, was of morganatic status, herself. She was descended from a Serene Countess. Queen Victoria cared not a whit...... but others did.
AtStirred, Straight Up, with a Twist, it helps to remember that it is permanently 1962 (give or take a decade); and that the problems of the real world can be solved with a touch of glamour and a dash of style.
Thanks for visiting, have fun, and please feel free to add your wit and sparkle to the proceedings!
