There was a wonderful exhibit of her portraits several years ago at Scandinavia House. It seems Miss Garbo's contracts all stipulated she be given a print of each publicity shot the studio commissioned for her, and they had over fifty of them on display.
Please do find someone fabulous for the 20th for me. I'm afraid I identify too closely with Anne Meara, that nice McShiksa, having grown up Irish on Long Island just up the road a piece from her family home.
AtStirred, Straight Up, with a Twist, it helps to remember that it is permanently 1962 (give or take a decade); and that the problems of the real world can be solved with a touch of glamour and a dash of style.
Thanks for visiting, have fun, and please feel free to add your wit and sparkle to the proceedings!
I'll wear slacks. How will you celebrate?
ReplyDeleteCoincidentally, I was watching "Two-Faced Woman" this morning.
