  3. My all time favorite movie...I wanted to be Scarlett! I actually kind of was last night, except my Rhett wasn't there...just my Javier Bardem. I posted about it today.

  6. I'm halfway through the book for the first time. The film is remarkably faithful to it, especially with little key moments! I can't wait to watch the movie again when I'm done.

  7. Jason - You ain't got no more manners than a fiel' han'!

David Toms - Zips up the back, and no bones?

    MJ - Just a spoonful?

Normadesmond - Well, she DID say he was a mule in a horse's harness...

Poseidon3 - And can't you just see Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable as Scarlett and Rhett when you read the book?

  8. Yes, I can completely visualize them in the roles. Casting perfection! I was never big on Leslie Howard, though, so sometimes I put Randolph Scott in my mind when I get to Ashley (but it's hard to shake the enduring images from the film.)
