Have You Heard?

We've been tagged! And, for once, not by Peenee! As much as we detest memes, how can we be churlish when presented with the "Kreativ Blogger Award"? Even if it does, we must say, have the absolute ugliest logo ever kreated, we're still humbled by the honor. Here we go:

1. Thank the person who nominated you for this award.

Thank you, Moira Finnie! Check out her blog, Skeins of Thought.

2. Copy the logo and place it on your blog.

OK, we warned you:

Ugh.

3. Link to the person who nominated you for this award.

See above.

4. Name 7 things about yourself that people might find interesting.
  • We studied piano for years, but if you put us before a keyboard today, we'd be absolutely dumbfounded.

  • We have our ribbons and awards for horseback riding tucked away in a drawer.

  • Our 5'7" frame used to carry 190 lbs. - half of which was hair.

  • We used to have really, really bad taste.

  • We have since compensated for this sad historical fact.

  • We've traveled to Italy close to 30 times, and have yet to learn the language. Although, "Nightclub Cica-Cica Boom" transcends all barriers.

  • Our last meaningful relationship was nearly a dozen years ago. Sigh.

5. Nominate 7 Kreativ Bloggers and post links to the 7 blogs you nominate.

6. Someone forgot to include a sixth rule.

7. Leave a comment on each of the blogs letting them know they have been nominated.

We're lazy; we're betting they'll figure it out on their own. It's such an honor just to be nominated!

  1. Are you tweaking your nipple in that hair photo?

    Thankfully I wasn't nominated.

I'd almost rather wear Crocs than post that logo on my blog.

  3. oh my!

I need time to get my hair done!

Mr. Kenneth will never take me at this late date! I guess I'll have to send over a houseboy.

And by the way, I don't really see how a "What a dump" t-shirt makes the point of "bad taste" at all.

  4. yes, the tee-shirt may appear slightly lame, but it's heart, and the wearer's was in the right place.

  6. MJ - I'm pretty sure that whomever designed that logo does wear Crocs. Or is crocked.

FSS - Anytime, sugar! Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Felix - You beeyatch. You just had to throw your 28" waist in my 29" waist's face, didn't you.

    That made no sense.

Jason - I think it's a the "What a Dump" tee shirt tucked into the Obama jeans that really puts the bad taste into play.

normadesmond - You're sweet. But oh, honey, at seventeen...

    joe*to*hell - 'Cause I didn't want you to cut a bitch like a ho!

MJ - That gingham plaid will clash with your stripes!

  7. I am bitter that I was excluded. Why? Because being bitter is what I do. Never mind that I'm on sabatical from DHTISH. Never mind that I need to go to Africa, to forget (but can't afford the airfare). Never mind that I have a 30 year box of Midol that still factory sealed. I'm simply bitter, and I should know better, too.

    I appreciate it nonetheless.

  11. The metamorphosis is complete
It's not where you were it's where you are not
    Single?

  12. Now we can see that you've earned that attitude!

  14. attc - Really, darling, I just had to stop at 7 dear friends that I had the gall to subject that logo to!

An Open Book - Tinkerbell sprinkled a little fairy dust, and...

Jill - It's a Laura Ashley tea cozy nightmare.

MrPeenee - Watch it; I used to be able to hide a switchblade in that 'do.

Joe - Single is where I'm at!

Thombeau - I'm holding out for the matching earrings. And brooch.
