The Miller Mystique

"Ann Miller comes onto this show camera-ready; she's wearing a designer dress; her makeup is exquisite; her hair is perfect and she even smells nice. It's such a pleasure for us. You know what I mean -- so many of the people come here in jeans with their hair flying all over. What's so special about that? You can get that at home." -- An associate producer for The Merv Griffin Show, 1983

Punch and Judy

After watching the train wreck that was last night's Oscars telecast, and the shoddy way they treated Kim Novak, Liza Minnelli and Dame Angela Lansbury, all we can say is thank goodness that The Punchy Players are around to keep the legends alive, kicking, tapping, hoarding and cashiering! Bless you, Jeff and Chris!

Wigged Out

Four years ago, Miss Ann Miller's estate auctioned off four of her wigs from her stint as Mame -- three from Max Factor, and one from "Sassy Wigs." The fact that we missed this historic auction actually has us close to tears.

Yes, we could have owned one of Ann Miller's Sassy Wigs!

Love, Ann Miller Style

E.J. Peaker and Ann Miller in the Love, American Style episode "Love and the Christmas Punch" (originally aired November 17, 1972)

Between the hair, the marabou and the jewelry, one wonders if there was any room on the set for actual furniture?

If only they had started a whispering campaign to get Helen Rose removed from the film.
