The Anatomic Bomb
The Queen of the Glamazons, Lili St. Cyr, was, by all accounts, a remarkably erotic performer. Even in still photographs, her sexuality fairly leaps from the page or screen. Not surprisingly, she made her mark as a nightclub entertainer; even with Cinemascope, VistaVision, Todd A-O Widscreen and SuperScope, Hollywood's big screens simply weren't big enough to contain this lady's powerful magnetism.

St. Cyr was also a regular fixture in the tabloids; the scandal sheets had a field day with her six marriages, her suicide attempts, the men who came to fisticuffs over her, and the luxurious lifestyle her suitors provided fr her. She died in 1999, at age 80, a barely remembered footnote in pop culture history. Combining icy glamour with white-hot eroticism, Lili was one-of-a-kind. And she was immortalized in a Rocky Horror Picture Show lyric!
