Supposedly, Patty HATED recording "PD Sings VOTD," and purposely made her already-shaky vocals even worse, in hopes that the powers-that-be at United Artists would shelve the album.
They didn't, and even recruited Gene Kelly to write the gushing liner notes (which deserve a post of their own, at a later date).
